HOST A WORKPLACE VISIT

Have you ever considered opening your doors to primary or secondary school pupils? Bringing young people into your workplace increases their understanding of different workplace settings and jobs. It can also help students connect their classroom learning with the world of work.

What does it involve?

Hosting a visit is the most illuminating way for a class or small group to see how your workplace functions. These visits can include tours, hands-on activities, presentations and a chance for the pupils to question employees.

Primary School pupils visit workplaces during the World of Work Week programme, introducing them to the concepts or existence of certain types of work. Secondary school students go on visits relevant to their studies or support their upcoming work experience placements.

What will your organisation gain?

Inviting young people into your workplace is a fun way to give back, a tailor-made experience for the students that is right for you, with our support.

Hosting a workplace visit can help you broaden your reach in the local community. Your organisation can also demonstrate corporate social responsibility by supporting the work-related learning of younger community members.
