Primary school programmes

PRIMARY SCHOOL PROGRAMMES

Our primary programmes reach children aged 3 – 11 and provides a fun and interactive insight into the world of work whilst building the soft skills of young people. Our programmes connects classroom learning to the world of work and open doors to aspirations and possibilities early.

WORLD OF WORK

Our flagship Primary school programme is World of Work Week, a week-long work-related learning programme the entire primary school engages with. Each year group has a theme they explore via the relevant jobs and industries in STEM, public services, business and enterprise, retail and catering, law and finance etc.

Students also meet professionals from all these sectors who volunteer to support sessions on the programme in school or on trips to their workplaces. We recruit volunteers in such a way as to challenge stereotypes as to who can do what jobs whilst providing representation for the diverse student bodies in the London communities we work with.
